Eric A. Butler Sr.

Senior Pastor

Pastor Butler is the son of Norris E. Butler Sr and Mrs. Lois E. Butler. He was born on a military base in Bremenhaven, Germany on February 11, 1968. While attending Camden High School, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior, at the ripe age of sixteen. In 1990, while attending Rowan University, he met and married his love, Tawana and from that union, God blessed them four children, Chris, Le'Baron, Erica and Eric Jr.

In 1994, Elder Butler relocated his family to Columbus, Ohio where he accepted his call to the ministry. It was there that he cultivated his passion for the community and began working with organizations such as the Columbus Metropolitan Community Action Coalition, where he served as Chairman and President, and the Columbus Head Start Fathers Initiative, where he served as Founder and President.

In 2004, Elder Butler had a longing to work closely with the community where he was born and raised, he requested that his job relocate him and his family back home to Camden, NJ. Since his return, he has worked tirelessly to introduce others to Christ. Elder Butler is currently a Regional LP Manager for the CVS Brands Corporation. He has served in this field for over twenty years.

On November 8, 2009 Elder Butler and his constituents birthed True Covenant Worship Center. He was installed as Pastor by the Jurisdictional Prelate of the Koinonia Jurisdiction and Pastor of Mount Airy Church of God in Christ, Bishop Earnest C. Morris.

Pastor Butler serves on the Board for the Progressive District for the Church of God in Christ, The Diversity Committee for CVS Caremark, The Board of Elders for the Koinonia Jurisdiction, and The Food Co-op Committee Through Urban Promise Ministries. His passion, above all, is to unite and build communities through the love of Jesus Christ and extend that love to everyone he meets.
